An Evening with Niall Mackenzie

Posted on Jan 31, 2011 by George Penny

Niall will be talking about his career and his sons, Taylor and Tarran, will also be attending. Taylor will be competing in the 125 class of MotoGP this year for the first time and Tarran competes in the 125cc national Championships.

Also making an appearance will be Bradley Smith, whom of course Merit sponsor and Niall will be talking to Bradley about the upcoming MotoGP season, in which Bradley has moved up to the Moto2 class and it will be interesting to hear how different the two classes are from maybe the best guy to explain it!

But of course the reason for the event, apart from having a bit of fun, is to raise money for charity. The charity to benefit from this event will be a Fish for Life, a charity which actually constructed an orphanage in Kenya in just 10 days. Stonehomes, a local building company, flew staff to Kenya and constructed the orphanage for local children, a charity which Merit supported.

Please check the link and watch the short movie through to the conclusion;

This is the first event of possibly 4 or 5 throughout the year and more guests from the racing world will be making appearances, each event will be for a charity. More details to follow as they become available.

The cost per ticket will be £10, available online http://www.thetrojanrooms.co.uk at or if you prefer, at the door, and if you can make it, I’m sure it will be a very enjoyable evening for all, even if you are not bike racing idiot like myself!
