Smith returns to the Frey - Cardion ab Grand prix of Czech Republic 2011

Posted on Aug 08, 2011 by Nick Harris

British Moto2 star Bradley Smith returns to the fray after a four week Summer break at the Cardion ab Grand Prix of the Czech Republic at the famous Brno circuit on Sunday.

Smith crashed out of the previous round at the Sachsenring in Germany after three successive podium finishes. The 20 year old Oxfordshire rider lies fifth in the championship riding for the French- based Tech3 team and is involved in a tremendous fight for third place. Just seven points separate Simone Corsi in third and Tom Luthi in sixth.

Bradley Smith
It’s been a good break but I can’t wait to meet up with the team and my Mistral 610 race bike and get racing again. I went cycling in Italy, was reminded how tough Moto-cross training can be and presented the Tissot pole setting watch to John Hopkins at the World Superbikes at Silverstone but now it’s back to business at Brno. We learnt so much in that first half of the season which gives us all great confidence for the second half.”
