Smith seeks Déjà vu at Indianapolis - Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix 2011

Posted on Aug 22, 2011 by Nick Harris

British Moto2 star Bradley Smith wants to experience that podium feeling again when he competes in round 11 of the World Championship at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix at the World famous Motor Speedway venue in America on Sunday.

Twenty year old Smith crashed the Tech3 machine for the second race in succession but still lies seventh in the Championship just 16 points behind third placed Alex De Angelis. It’s an important final seven rounds of the title chase for the rider.

Bradley Smith
I love America and the thought of racing in Indianapolis picked me up after Brno. Who could not be focused racing at such an iconic venue. Racing over the strip of bricks on the start line between the massive grandstands and diving into turn one but really wanting to run onto the famous banking on the outside. I can’t wait to get there for all those reasons and also because the layout is the nearest we get to a British track.”
