Hi everyone, I can't wait to get back at it! The slower pace of life during the winter does not suit me, but now we are right back in the crazy world of racing and travelling – I love it! I know that once that group photograph has been taken on the start-line in Qatar on Thursday, we are ready to start the new season.

On Friday evening, there is an event taking place at the Trojan Rooms (part of the Avalon Hotel, Whitley Bay), in which Merit have been instrumental in organising. The theme is “an evening with Niall Mackenzie” and for those who aren’t aware, Niall is the most successful GP racer GB has produced since Barry Sheene and was also British Superbike Champion 3 years in succession.
